The situation on most projects we supply
An EPC contractor in the Middle East is building a package to a specification that names North American standards. A drilling contractor in North Africa keeps a rig built by a company that no longer exists. An operator in South America needs spares for a compressor whose OEM will not quote without a service contract. In each case the datasheet is clear, the deadline is fixed, and the document requirement is written into the contract.
The buyer is a procurement lead or a project engineer, working from a material requisition with tag numbers, with a quality department that will reject anything undocumented and a client who will not accept a partial delivery.
Key considerations for oil and gas procurement
Materials, ratings, connections, standards and area classification as you state them, not as a catalogue offers them. Each line quotes the standard the item is made to and attaches the manufacturer's certificate sample for approval before order.
Material certificates to heat, hydrostatic and functional test reports by serial number, calibration certificates per tag, certificates of origin and a packing list by tag number. Itemised and priced on the quotation so your quality department sees compliance before award.
Parts for rigs and pumps whose builders stopped supporting them (Kremco, Skytop Brewster, National, Cooper, Dreco, Cardwell and others) are supplied OEM or certified equivalent from the parts book or a sample, with dimensional and material reports.
Multi item packages are held at Concord until complete, inspected against the specification with photographs, packed for the route with tag numbers on every case and shipped as one consignment with one document pack.
Long lead items are ordered first and followed weekly; exception reports the day an issue appears; third party witness inspection arranged where the contract requires it.
Every request is checked against Canadian export controls before quotation so a destination under review is told at the quotation stage.
